Delhi Police Issues Lookout Notice Against Wrestler Sushil Kumar

India’s Capital Delhi Police today issued a notice of lookout against Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar. The two-time champion is part of the Chhatrasal Stadium brawl that led to the demise of the wrestler. According to the Police, the lookout issue was initially issued last Sunday evening after recording the statement of all the victims of the brawl, and from then, the wrestler is on the run.

Police are conducting many raids to nab him across areas of Delhi-NCR, Gurugram, and neighbouring regions. As per the statements of the victim, the clash in the stadium was first initiated over vacating a flat in the Model Town Area. Victims stated that Sushil Kumar was present at the clash and then ran away after the following injuries.

The victim who died is the 23-year-old wrestler who has allegedly assaulted a list of other wrestlers present inside the Chhatrasal stadium. The wrestler died last Tuesday night and since then Sushil Kumar is on the run.

Who is Sushil Kumar?

Popularly known as ‘Sushil Pehalwan’ is one of the iconic wrestlers representing India. In the 2008 Olympics, he became the only Indian wrestler to win a medal at the tournament, after Kashaba Dadasaheb Jadhav. He then continued to win bronze and silver medals after the same.

He won the world championship title in 2010 followed by 3 gold medals in Commonwealth Games and many other titles in Asian and Commonwealth wrestling championships.

He became a popular name in the sport in no time, and also the pride of the nation.

In the murder case, Delhi Police has inspected five vehicles that were found out of the stadium, and now it is handed over to the forensic experts of FSL. Sushil Kumar, if found guilty, will struggle with a successful career as he will be forced to quit from all international honours and upcoming games. A heavy price to be paid by Sushil Kumar, which is definitely not more than the precious life of another human being.
