ECB D20 Tournament caught eyeballs of many people in the United Arab Emirates. Many people are looking for short news in 30 seconds to check out all the highlight of D20 tournament and other sports and events nearby.

Highlights of Match 13 – ECB Blues vs Sharjah

ECB Blues completed an easy win over Sharjah on Tuesday in the 13 of Emirates D20. ECB Blues put on a competitive 170/4 after being asked to bat first by Sharjah, who got it completely wrong at the toss and fell short of the target by 64 runs.

Sharjah won the toss and chose to take the field. ECB Blues were quick to bounce on the opportunity of setting a good total as opener Vriitya Aravind struck a handsome 86 off just 60 balls. Middle-order batsman Ali Shan Sharafu (51) also scored a half-century to take his team to 170 for the loss of four wickets after 20 overs.

From Sharjah, Hafeez Rahman returned the best figures as he picked up two wickets giving away 31 runs in his quota of four overs. Kashif Daud and Krishan Paul took once wicket each.

Sharjah got off to a flyer on the back of a quick-fire 30 runs by Khalid Shah. However, the chase went off the track as wickets started falling. From 35 for no loss in the fourth over, Sharjah was soon struggling at 51/5 in the eighth over.

Sharjah finished their twenty overs scoring 106 for the loss of 8 wickets. Young left-arm-spinner Aryan Lakra was, once again, the pick of the bowlers as he claimed 4 wickets conceding a meagre 10 runs. Skipper Basil Hameed also chipped in with 2 wickets. Waheed Ahmad and Rizwan Cp grabbed one wicket apiece.

Highlights of Match 14 – Fujairah vs Abu Dhabi

Fujairah stayed unbeaten in the Emirates D20 with their fifth win in a row. Similar to the first match of the day, Ajman invited Fujairah to bat first and failed to restrict the opposition to a small total. Fujairah's 164/6 proved to be a little too much for Ajman as the latter lost the game by 17 runs.

Usman Khan's 78 from 48 on the back of 11 boundaries and one six powered Fujairah to 164/6 after the end of 20 overs. UAE national player Rohan Mustafa also contributed to the cause with a steady knock of 40 runs off 33 balls. Mustafa hit three fours and a six during his stay at the crease.

Sheraz Piya turned out to be the pick of the bowlers for Ajman with figures of 26/2. Other bowlers with a good day at the office were Nasir Aziz, Zuhaib Zubair, and Asif Khan. The trio picked one wicket each.

In response of Fujairah's 164 runs, Ajman couldn't pick the pace throughout the 20 overs, losing the game by 17 runs. Opener Ali Khan was the top scorer as he struck 40 runs. Amjad Gul Khan tried to steady the ship towards the end with his cameo of 33 runs from just 16 balls that included 2 boundaries and 3 maximums.

The quick knock was, however, not enough as Ajman finished at 147/5, a good 17 runs short of the total set by Fujairah. While Sabir Rao grabbed two wickets, skipper Ahmed Raza, Luqman Hazrat, and Rohan Mustafa clinched one wicket each.

Highlights of Match 15 – Sharjah vs Dubai

Sharjah claimed their third win of the tournament at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium against Dubai. Even, with a modest total of 156/8, Sharjah was clinical with their bowling and restricted Dubai to 127/10 only.  Sharjah moved to the third spot after the win.

Thanks to a half-century by captain Fayyaz Ahmad, who scored 57 runs from 42 balls, Sharjah reached 156/8 after 20 overs. Ahmad struck three boundaries and as many sixes during his stay at the crease. Renjith Mani and also contributed with 22 runs.

Quick bursts by Umair Ali and Arsalan Javed towards the end propelled Sharjah to a respectable total. With figures of 39/4, Muhammad Hassan was the best bowler for Ajman. Ali Naseer also picked up two wickets but leaked 52 runs in the process.

In the second innings, Ajman could never get going as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. While Adnaan Khan did provide them with a flashing start, other batsmen weren't able to capitalize on the same and the entire team was all out for 127 in 19.2 overs.

Bilal Cheema played a patient knock of 31 runs from 25 balls, but it wasn't enough for the team to cross the winning the line. Arsalan Javed and Hafeez Rahman were the picks of the bowlers with figures of 20/3. and 25/3, respectively. You can also check Day 4 of Emirates D20 tournament's highlights and match report.
