Healthcare worker steals dead patient's card to buy snacks
A UK healthcare worker was suspended after stealing a dead patient's card to buy snacks from the hospital's vending machine. Ayesha Basharat, a 23-year-old NHS worker in Birmingham, used the card to make six purchases of EUR1 each. She was arrested during her shift with the card still in her possession. Basharat was then suspended for 18 months and handed two concurrent jail terms of five months each.
