Lebanon imposes 11-day curfew to curb COVID-19 spike

Lebanon has enforced an 11-day 24-hour curfew as hospitals struggle to cope with a spike in Coronavirus infections. Residents are required to request a one-hour permit to be allowed to leave the house for 'emergencies'. Lebanon, which has a population of six million, has reported more than 222,000 COVID-19 cases and 1,629 deaths since start of the pandemic.
