India: Supreme Court takes cognizance of scaling pollution in Yamuna river

The Supreme Court took suo moto cognizance amid rising level of pollution in Yamuna river. This comes after Delhi Jal Board alleged that water containing high pollutants is being released in the river from Haryana. In the proceedings conducted through video conferencing, top court appointed senior advocate Meenakshi Arora as amicus curiae to assist in hearing in the suo moto case.
