BREAKTHROUGH: UK vaccine developer tests COVID-19 vaccine in children

The University of Oxford becomes the first vaccine developer to test its COVID-19 vaccine in children. The trial plans to recruit 300 volunteers between the age of 6 to 17 with up to 240 receiving COVID-19 vaccine while rest to get meningitis vaccine. AstraZeneca aims to produce 3 billion doses this year with around 200 million doses every month by April 2021.
