7.3 magnitude earthquake rocks east Japan, no tsunami alert

A strong earthquake hit off Japan’s east coast, shaking Fukushima, Miyagi and other areas on Saturday night at 11:08 pm. Japan's meteorological agency said the quake hit at the depth of 60km in Pacific off Fukushima, near the epicentre of 2011 killer quake, which triggered tsunami and killed over 18,000 people. The latest quake triggered no tsunami alert and no immediate reports of damage.
