Sania Mirza included in Target Olympic Podium Scheme

Tennis star Sania Mirza has been included in India's Target Olympic Podium Scheme. She opted out in 2017 because of an injury. She has already qualified for the Tokyo Olympics based on her protected ranking. Though Sania is currently ranked 157th in the world, she holds special ranking of No.9, assigned to players who are out of the game due to medical reasons for minimum period of 6 months.
