New Zealand abandon tour to Pakistan after government security alert

New Zealand have announced to cancel their Pakistan tour following an escalation in the New Zealand Government threat levels for Pakistan. Arrangements are being made for the team's departure, New Zealand Cricket said in a statement. The Pakistan Cricket Board, however, said they and the Government of Pakistan made foolproof security arrangements and the board is willing to continue the scheduled matches.
