Former Australia cricketer turned commentator Michael Slater was arrested on Wednesday over allegations of domestic violence. New South Wales police took Slater into custody from Sydney's northern beaches. The domestic violence incident took place on 12 October 2021, the police said in a statement. Slater scored 5,312 runs for Australia before retiring in 2004.
