Samsung to set up USD17 billion chip plant in Texas

Samsung would build a USD17 billion chip plant in the city of Taylor in Texas amid a global shortage of semiconductors. It is the biggest-ever investment by the South Korean electronics giant in the US. The plant is expected to create 2,000 technology industry jobs, with construction starting early next year.
