Pakistan has gone bankrupt: Former tax chief

Former chief of Pakistan’s tax agency, Shabbar Zaidi, said the country has gone bankrupt and the government had been lying about the country's prosperity. "We say have achieved great success, and we brought tabdeeli (change), but this is wrong. In my view, the country is, at the moment, bankrupt," Zaidi was quoted. Zaidi on Friday said his remarks were "misreported".
