Donald Trump's social media venture raises USD1 billion

Donald Trump's new social media venture said on Saturday it had generated around USD1 billion from unidentified investors. It comes as the former US President plans to launch a social media app called TRUTH Social that is at least several weeks away. Trump Media and Digital World said USD1 billion will be raised through a PIPE transaction from "a diverse group of institutional investors".
