Sensex hits new milestone, breaches 60,000 levels

India stock market celebrated after Sensex scaled the 60,000 mark for the first time. On Friday, Sensex closed at 60,048.47 after a rise of 0.27%. The milestone was achieved after 128 shares saw advance movement in the green zone and 1,894 shares saw a bearish movement in the red zone. The broader Nifty also closed after a hike movement at 17,853.20.
