Petrol gets INR8 per litre cheaper in India capital

Delhi government on Wednesday slashed the VAT on petrol from 30% to 19.40%, reducing petrol prices by INR8 per litre. The new rates will come into effect from midnight today. The decision was taken during the cabinet meeting chaired by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today. The Centre recently cut excise duty by INR5 per litre on petrol and INR10 per litre on diesel.
