Closing Bell: Sensex falls 282 points, Nifty ends below 15,700

Indian indices closed 0.54% lower today. Sensex closed at 52,306.08, down 282.63 points or 0.54% and Nifty was at 15,686.95, down 85.80 points, or 0.54%. United Breweries was among the top losers after Heineken increased its stakes in brewer. About 1,335 shares have advanced, 1,629 shares declined, and 116 shares are unchanged.
