Rupee drops 7 paise to close below INR75 mark against USD

The rupee fell by 7 paise to settle at the INR75 mark against the US dollar on Friday amid concerns of Coronavirus cases in India and losses in domestic equities affecting investor sentiment. The Indian rupee has already lost 2.6% against US dollar this month. Meanwhile, the dollar index gauges greenback’s strength against a basket of six currencies, which rose 0.14% to USD92.66.
