Elon Musk impersonators steal over USD2 million in cryptocurrency

US Federal Trade Commission has stated that people have lost over USD2 million to scammers impersonating Elon Musk in past 6 months. Scammers use deceptive ways on social media, promising people guaranteed huge returns. Targets are told to send cryptocurrency to a wallet address for a large payment in return later, and then the scammers take the amount and disappear.
