Bitcoin plunges below USD30,000 for first time in a month

Bitcoin dropped below the USD30,000 mark on Tuesday as the fear and spread of the Delta variant of COVID-19 affected stocks around the globe. At the time of writing, the most popular cryptocurrency was trading at USD29,633 due to a 5.30% drop. Besides Bitcoin, other cryptocurrencies also slumped. Ethereum dropped 7% to USD1,761, while XRP and Dogecoin were down 9% and 7% to 53 cents and 16 cents, respectively.
