Tracking global cues, Indian indices open on a positive note

The S&P BSE Sensex opened at a fresh all-time high on 8 February after witnessing a surge of over 9% in the Union Budget fuelled rally during the previous week. Sensex opened 0.94 percent higher at 51,314, while the Nifty50 index opened at 15,083.30, up 0.98 percent. Almost all key stocks on the indices were in the green zone.
