Mastercard to support 'select cryptocurrencies' on its network

Mastercard will permit transactions of select cryptocurrencies before the end of 2021. The company said it will begin with allowing transactions of stable and more regulated coins. Mastercard had earlier partnered with Wirex and BitPay to launch crypto cards for cryptocurrency-related transactions. The company already possesses 89 global blockchain patents and 285 pending blockchain applications.
