India has emerged as a major food grain provider globally amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Exports of rice, wheat and coarse cereals recorded significant growth during first 3 quarters of 2020-21. As per government data, exports of cereals rose to INR498.32 billion from INR325.91 billion same period last year, accounting for a growth of 52.90%. The total share of value of cereal exports stood at 48.61%.
