India may soon have its third power exchange

Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has proposed to grant registration to Pranurja Solutions Limited(PSL) to establish and operate a power exchange. If PSL gets registration, India may soon get a 3rd power exchange, raising possibility of competition rising. PSL was incorporated by a consortium of PTC India Limited, BSE Investments Limited and ICICI Bank Limited.
